My younger brother died just before Christmas, and my mate lost her dad just a few days after the US Thanksgiving holiday. Grandfather is not expected to live more than a few more months, and grandmother is likely not far behind that. All in all, it's been a rough time for my family going into the holiday and new year, and we haven't even made it to February.
