The last one was so fun I just had to do another :) Expect to see a lot of these scattered between my traditional art from now on; they're fun and easy and only take about an hour.

This is another of Elsie's crew members. His name's Soujin, and he's a ronin. He was living on the road, having left Japan and ended up in China, stealing from the rich rice plantation owners in order to get by. He was caught 3 times, and each time he was tattooed with a thief's mark. The third one went on his forehead so he couldn't hide it. If he's caught again, he goes to jail for life. After his 3rd arrest, Soujin went to the docks of the town he was in to look for work. Nobody wanted to hire a thief, but Elsie saw something in him, and besides, once they were on the open sea he couldn't steal anything if she was wrong. She hired him on, and he's been her loyal guard ever since.
