There were two very cold weeks behind us, and the weather forecast projected a mayor warming, so that's it, it is time to hit the caving trail in Bukk! I have a favorite trail made up which touches thirteen more or less known caves, some are small, but all are longer than 20 meters, a few just being the entrances of large, but sealed caves (There are two large ones though which are not sealed, one, the most known is 400 meters long with some tight twisty passages between the 100 and 150 mark. People rarely pass that point). This time I visited six of these, just the openings mostly where the sunlight reach, looking for ice formations. So here we go!
A frozen wall
Burj Al Arab
Towers of ice <- This picture
Underground capitol of the little ice people
Up and down
Like thin skyscrapes from some sci-fi illustration! Note the thin basement of the rightmost stalagmite, it is wonderful that this was still standing. This formation was found in the cave where I first shot such stalagmites 2 years ago.
