Axelia the Lombax-ish On-call Engineer of the Divines
New year, new character!
Say hello to Axelia the Lombax!
She's an engineer and mechanic by trade who's highly intelligent and has a tendency to speak in technobabble like you'd hear from a Star Trek engineer and such ^^;
And now for what I've been trying to do with all these new references...
Name : Axelia Redforge (Axe-el-ia ; shortened goes by either Axel or Lia)
Title : On-call Engineer and Mechanic of the Demideities
Species : Lombax
Size : Default 2'9'' ; Max ~600,000 Lightyears ; Min ~1 nanometer
Personality : Hyperactive, talkative, forceful, and forward
Relations :
- Good friends with Ynaa and Lahr and tends to work with them both
- Enjoys shooting the breeze with Laalouche
Abilities :
- UltraOmnitool Mk-424 -
A tool that Axelia has been modifying and improving on for most of her life but saw its potential met and far far exceeded when she happened across one of the shards of Iridalea's sword while travelling to a remote world to help fix some complicated machinery that had broken down. She could tell that this was clearly a powerful gemstone or something that she had found that was just exuding all sorts of energy she couldn't even identify. Being a tinker, Axelia of course decided to put this shard into her tool.
The effects were subtle at first, but she found that her tool was now somehow while holding it that it could now mold itself into whatever sort of tool she needed. This greatly surprised Axelia and not wanting to lose the finely crafted tool she had spent years building into her masterpiece, she makes sure to only let the bottom tip mold into new features as she had never actually been entirely satisfied with that end of it anyways. In addition to this curious new molding ability of her tool, Axelia also found she could also use the shard now embedded in the tool as a convenient and impressively powerful lightsource. Able to provide light as low as a nightlight to potencies she's fairly sure can match the output of a star. And again, she found that she could control this light level with a mere thought while holding her tool.
- Personal Size Maniuplation -
While interesting what the shard had done directly to her tool, far more important was Axelia's discovery of what it could do to her. While holding her tool and examining a piece of machinery she was trying to dislodge from its bearings, Axelia randomly thought to herself how easy it would be to move this thing if she were a foot or two taller... A brief and confusing moment of vertigo later where it felt like her viewpoint was weirdly rising and everything just felt oddly warm and Axelia shook off the vertigo to go back at the machinery she had been trying to dislodge and managed to remove it with unexpected ease. Bewildered by this and standing back to examine the machinery and reaching for her tea, Axelia was again met with something unusual in that her teacup felt a-lot smaller in her hand now. Putting these odd occurences together with the recent changes in what her tool could do with that shard in it, Axelia quickly ran to the nearest doorframe to compare her height to it and found she was exactly two feet taller.
Axelia came to the realization that not only did the shard affect her tool, but it could also affect her with merely a thought. While a-little nervous to test exactly how far this "molding" of herself can go, Axelia focuses mainly on using her tool to affect her overall size and sometimes her proportions (usually just for fun in that case). Experimenting with both directions, she has found that she can achieve sizes ranging from a single nanometer all the way to approximately 600,000 lightyears. Allowing for fixes to extremely small and complicated wiring to Demideity tier machinery and such technology.
Axelia is a highly intelligent and capable engineer and mechanic who lives a largely nomadic lifestyle wandering her home galaxy offering repair, tuneup, and refit services to everything from planetary governments to passing starships in order to purchase fuel, basic neccessities, and materials. Not really wanting to stay in any one place for long and enjoying her nomadic lifestyle, Axelia attempts to maintain a balancing act of having a solid positive reputation that's not so positive that no one tries to hire her or tricker her into any more permanent positions. Her attempts at not getting any sorts of permanent positions is admittedly helped by her hyperactive, forward, and VERY talkative personality that has a tendency to grate on people over time. She's not unfriendly, though! Rather most would describe her as being almost too friendly.
After discovering a shard of Iridalea's sword while traveling to a remote part of the galaxy and then integrating said shard into her personal tool that she's been building and enhancing for most of her life, Axelia's life took a drastic turn while still largely remaining the same overall. Integrating the shard into her tool lead to her tool becoming an even more adaptive and useful item in her endeavors which of course was a great boon to the quality and speed of her work. But what was even more important was her discovery that while holding her UltraOmnitool she was now able to manipulate her own size with a mere thought. Shrinking herself down to a single nanometer to fix faulty wiring or up to who knows how large for tasks requiring her to manhandle the largest of machinery.
Axelia's use of one of the shards of Iridalea's sword eventually brought her to Ynaa's attention. A surprise encounter for sure as Axelia had heard rumors of Ynaa for several years and that she was supposedly some sort of absurdly powerful deity that put all other deities in the universe to shame with a single strand of fur. The two had a long talk over who Axelia was, how she had found that shard she put in her tool, and how she used it, and even some testing to see just how large she could truly become (reaching approximately 600,000 lightyears to Axelia's surprise and being conveniently protected from the vaccum by the shard). After a moment's consideration, Ynaa offered Axelia a job of sorts.
The universe's "handyman", Lahr the God of All Trades, was incredibly capable in a great many tasks revolving around the maintenance of the universe and the various Demideific pantheons and their day to day needs. But sometimes the technology in question was something that required a specialist's touch more than the vast generalist's touch that Lahr had. Ynaa's offer to Axelia was for her to be the universe's "on-call" engineer and mechanic for its Demideities when such needs might arise. Essentially continuing what she was already doing with her nomadic lifestyle, but being easier to get a-hold of and at a far grander scale (with also equally large payment).
Axelia considered Ynaa's offer and after confirming several times that she could continue to live out of her personal ship and would not be required to maintain an office or somesuch anywhere, she agreed. A quick hug from Ynaa, teleport, and massive jump in size later, Axelia found herself and Ynaa standing next to Lahr in his workshop where Ynaa then explained Axelia's new role. Happy to have some support, Lahr gladly embraced Axelia as a fellow caretaker and with time even came to consider her a good and close friend.
Today Axelia continues her nomadic wanderings around her home galaxy. Continuing to offer repair, tuneup, and refit services along the way, but now with all the benefits of that shard of Iridalea's sword powering her and her tool and a special communication device for when some Demideity has broken something important and needs a skilled mechanic to fix it.

Awesome precedent to set of a nomadic handygal finding something that does not directly influence her but instead her tool and livelihood! I love this concept a whole lot and am excited to see what kind of shenanigans she gets herself into while working!
I feel that I must bring this up that the link to ` More of Axelia the Unusaually Large Lombax 1 actually goes to the gallery of the unusually tall lycanroc. If this was intended I apologize for the confusion.
