7-46. Toben gave Mis notice that a particularly large group of slavers is moving through the area. There's probably also a way that slaver groups behave that gives them away, like making camp further from roads, or whatnot, that those familiar can tell, especially with a viewpoint like they've got there.
I understand that. But I still don't really understand how they can tell that this campfire coming from behind what looks like a forest is from a slaver's camp ? Especially since Lamb was not told the rumour. It doesn't look like they can see the camp or anything beyond just the smoke from the campfire.
Maybe Morgan might have a slightly deeper conection to the PATH becuase of her near death expiernce from escaping from a slaver group that allows her sense slavers from a distance.
I'd actually be more concerned that Mis thinks there's a possibility of Lamb being hurt. Considering Lamb can go toe to toe with Fen, what could be there that could actually hurt Morgan that concerns Mis?

I was trying to figure out how Morgan even knew about the slavers. Well obviously Morgan heard them talking. Well that means Miz must have known that Morgan had heard them talking because Miz is now getting Fen to follow. Walls must be thin. No embarrassment at this school when carnal lusts happen.
The look that Mis gives Fen even has Fen going "wow". It must be serious, time to be serious. No more boob jokes.

I would say it tells a lot of what Mis knows about her students and can anticipate such an action taken by Lamb before she can even stop her from heading out the gate. Also might hint at Morgan has a bit of history of taking out the trash when it piles up on Mis lawn.
But considering how she didn't sound so concerned that Fen would get in trouble when she sent Fen out to take care of bandits and Lamb can go toe to toe with Fen, I have to wonder what Mis learned that could be a threat to Morgan?

I think its more that, while normally Morgan can handle herself, going into a big fight angry, not thinking logically, can get even the greatest warrior killed.
With the bandits, Mis knew that Fen would observe the situation, and not engage if she couldn't handle it.
This is not the case; Morgan will go in guns blazing regardless of the slaver numbers.
I do find it funny that Morgan knew the slavers were there before Mis did. And disturbing that her first thought is "must destroy", and not " better just tell Mis I'm going, maybe get some backup, just in case".
But that's the trouble with trauma, doesn't make you think logically.

I wonder if these slavers might be here for more then a coincidence?
I figure one of the nations of this world must have an okay stance with the practice if they have traveling gangs of raiders that supply the warm bodies for it. Could they actually be targeting a few stragglers from Mis's school?

You know, the political climate of this world must be interesting if slavers can just wander the lands like this and have a steady supply of clients to sell to.
Does this mean we might get a bit more info about the kingdoms of this world?
I imagine these groups have to be aligned with some nation.

I love how Mis just complete ignores Fen's minor complaint, and due to that Fen just immediately recognises its serious and drops it.
Sigh. Poor Morgan, still so hurt that she couldn't even tell Mis she was going, and maybe get some backup.
...Why do I feel like this may be an excuse to get Morgan injured so she won't be able to participate in the fighting tournament?

So Fen is using her recently acquired strategery to back up Lamb. Because Lamb, considering her origins, is not thinking rationally and may just be in that place where she was small and destroying a very surprise slaver group with recently awakened Hadalen powers with a Hadalen whip.
This is going to end poorly and it just remains to be seen for whom it ends poorly.

I wonder. Why would the slavers think it's a good idea to set up camp near a monastery housing many Hadalen users?
On the other hand, Fen and the others may need to keep in mind the smallest possibility they wouldn't camp so close unless the bandits had something to take care of people that can use Hadalen.

I have to be honest, my first thought after reading this is... Mis is a dragon. Well... "dragon". A blisteringly powerful being, in any case. Why doesn't she handle it, if it's so important?
Then again... her going out to wage war might cause a lot more damage than it needs to, especially with how angry she looks.

For several reasons.
- She doesn't want to personally interfere with Lamb's very personal vendetta, because she might risk pushing Lamb away. Especially with her own state of mind at this time.
- She knows Lamb would very likely be fine on her own, but Lamb's not much of a thinker when she's doing this shit, so there's a risk of her blindly pushing in without thinking about her own safety.
- She knows Lamb trusts Fen, and Fen IS a thinker who can, at best, talk Lamb down, and at worst, fight alongside her to make sure things go their way.
- Mis'Alia has put aside her own brutal history to focus on being a peaceful protector.
- It would be unfair to the slavers :D (not really)
