New Year's and Valentine's Day are sort of a boon for ABDL characters. Barring any sort of changes to their worlds from ours, those are really the only 2 times that nobody's goinna think anything is out of place with someone wearing diapers openly. Possibly an exception for Halloween, but that might be dependent on overall mindsets of people where the characters are, again. Pun not originally intended, but it fit well enough as a non-pun, too. Since I often don't know the workings of other people's worlds, my mind has a tendency to default to how things are IRL where I live. Not that I'm every trying to impose that on anyone's works. It's just that if I'm a bit ignorant of how the worlds of those works operate, I'm likely to think in terms of what I'm used to.
So, apologies if you've got a world where it's set up to be much more ABDL friendly and my observations are thus a bit off... I tend to normalize ABDL within my own world building. Either with stuff like the world of Yvhuce Industries, where said company is openly a huge ABDL supplies company, as well as something to rival Wal-Mart and Amazon, and as a government contractor similar to Lockheed, or with it being more of a low-key "so long as you're not causing trouble for others, nobody cares what you're into" sort of thing in many of my other worlds.

Oh, hey. I did actually stumble across a properly adult diaper (not adult pullups, though it was a cloth-backed) mainstream comedy video clip. Amy Shumer showed up as a baby on an episode of Ellen. And video clip of that segment of the show got posted online. I think on youtube. While she's wearing a cloth-backed diaper, it's at least an actual diaper, and not just adult pullups that other people use as a copout to technically be diaper-related. It's not like the apex of entertainment, but it was worth watching for that novelty value.
