The paladin armor is the laughing stock of the tier11 set (at least in my opinion.) It's a bigass stone crown atop feathery rock formation. It doesn't look paladin like at all to me. (And it looks RIDICULOUS on tauren as well.)
AlexBjorn has a tauren busty paladin, so I borrowed Huama to model a concept I had for pally armor.
First thought I had is they need to stop giving paladins dark, scary armor. They're crusaders of light, not death knights. Thinking back I recalled the sandy colors of Uldum, and recalled a location there called Obelisk of the Sun. The element seemed to fit all too well for a pally, so I turned the Egyptian-like setting of the pyramids and tombs of Uldum into armor.
I even designed alternate shoulder and leg designs, where holy gets a more fitting plateskirt, and prot gets more guarded, obelisk-bearing shoulders. (As an afterthought, it'd be easy to make asymetrical shoulders for prot, where one obelisk points up on the left, and on the right there's a flatter inscribed plating.)
Going from normal to heroic, the wing elements on the shoulders get bigger and glow, the headpiece gets an additional, crown-like element, and the bracers get a second, larger "swoosh" plate over the elbow, as well as a larger handguard over the right hand.
Maybe I'm biased since I'm the one who made it but I like how it looks way better than the current t11.

And not to sound perverse, there needs to be sexy armor again.
I can understand blizzard not wanting to go down the path of plate bikinis, but that doesn't mean you can never see a character's abdomens, sides, or cleavage.
The PvP armor looks better I'll say, though. I haven't seen all of it though.

Tauren girls make any armor set look amazing.
Well, except maybe the helmets. They need to work on those.
I do like the design of this piece, though - in my opinion, there isn't enough armor that takes advantage of segmented and outcropped sections, like this piece has on the forearms.
