Finally the first post for this year.
I am back to health again, still struggling with the temperatures (the 1st of January was just as warm as if it would be allready the 1st of April...) And with no winter in sight, I allready picked up the schedule for my spring time duties in my job.
I try to pick up my duties in the unfinished trades as well.
To get started, I post here a letter decoration I did for my pen-pal in Germany, Kaido from One Piece delivering the letter himself.^^

A magnificent looking Kaido, though for the King of Beast himself to be delivering a letter, truly an important message or perhaps he was persuaded to do so by a charismatic and enigmatic black-furred red-eyes anthro rat.

I started watching OP back in 2001, when it was aired for one time on the Austrian channel ATV+. After some episodes I left, because the character design was not my cup of tea. Then my pen-pal from Germany encouraged me to give OP a second chance and so I restarted watching it and after some time the story captivated me and so I followed it until today. Last year, a shob in my place started to sell the mangas, so I started to buy them, beginning with #96.
The Zou arc is my favourite one and closely followed by Wa no Kuni.

I'm glad you gave it another chance, I truly feel it's an amazing story that everyone should read. I get the design thing though, I wasn't impressed at first, and the human jaw zoans weren't doing me any favors, but now I genuinely love all the designs. I've only followed since 2012 haha, been caught up ever since. I'd love to get physical copies one day, but I imagine they're pretty pricey
Zou and Wano were both fantastic, I can't wait for the drums of liberation in the anime

Humans with Zoan powers often are designed like if they would wear an animal mask like Jabura and Ekki from the CP9 (Enies Lobby arc)
And Kaido´s Gifters are mostly grotesque in terms of design.

I love the designs now, it's got that special Oda charm and I don't know if I'd want it any other way haha
It's the current arc after Wano, sooooo much good world building info, things are really kicking into high gear for the series at this point, I don't even want to say anything that happens, but I guess let's say we finally get to see a long awaited character as the main part of the arc

I confess that Kaido is actually super cute when he is in his dragon form XD! If he was not so complex, I would try to draw him myself XD! But you, otherwise, managed to mimic the same art style as Mr. Eichiro Oda >w<! It seems like it was him that drew Kaido himself! This looks gorgeous, my Lord!
