I can´t help myself, but this somehow reminds me of the pagan polnish godess Luonnotar, who floated in the endless ocean and out of her body all the plants and trees bloomed into life, while she became the earth itself.
I could be wrong here, because I rade something about this in a book many years ago, so my apologies if I misinterpreted something here.^^;
