HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting an in-stream colored sketch when she's open. Simplified [anthro] Trouble. Less colors, less details, a future reference to be less torturous on future artists.
-i'll slowly update this to show how she functions as an individual but it does not reflect the entire Curio species.
Due to her "component cocktail", she has features that are unusual for an already unusual species & has more amplified traits. Bleeding Heart flowers are slightly poisonous. Cannabis causes impairment & reduces pain [& many side effects]. Turacos are gregarious & highly territorial. Trouble manifested from anger & resentment. *hears boss battle music in the background getting louder*
-(Root/rib cage & branch wings act as storage source from siphoning excess negative emotion/ energy from 3rd parties. When they grow too big, they turn stiff & removing them is discomforting. She has a habit of collecting the dead branches to produce massive bonfires to release negative energies. Always carries a mini travel pack of blades & saw around just in case she can't remove by hand.)
-(Tail feathers smolder when angry & can burn off- no pain is felt, only annoyance. Tail leaves can grow back but requires lots of sunlight. Trouble is occasionally targeted & provoked mainly by 420-vermin looking to get a 2nd hand high. Tail leaves will continue to burn if removed.)
-(Avians tend to show their mood through feathers & so does Trouble! Besides her bad tail days, she has crybaby days as well. Vines grow on the side of her skull (mimicking tears) when experiencing fear or anxiety. Tear-vines takes a lot of energy to produce & they also store excess emotions. Do not directly touch or ingest any fluids from vines or flowers.)
-(Curios cannot take anthro form. The was an unusual growth process which unlocked this ability. Trouble was 'seeded' inside a living creature, not soil- dormant, festering, & ignorant to existence. When that creature passed away, Trouble bloomed & manifested being able to take her undead host's form immediately. Trouble is dead inside... literally.. but she is sometimes able to recollect the life of her former host. It is still unknown if being able to take anthro form might've reduced her ability to serve as a spiritual medium & connect with the dead. ....... more lore bs TBA
