Some major story points.
Make sure you write a story in past tense and not present tense. You flip around a lot tense wise. Ex: present nods Past: Nodded. The hint is usually the ed, but not always.
Make a new paragraph every change in speaker or change in actor acting. If your doing old style paragraphs no break space and indent.
Remember for transformation stories growth or otherwise they thrive with thick description: Before, middle, and after. Paint those scenes. Its the exciting purpose of the story.
