The one on the right seems more unsettling, with the darkness and horror vibe to it. The darkness on the robot almost appears like rust, going up the body, having the glowing eyes peering into your soul from the underlit and dark room. You don't belong here.
the one on the left, is a lot cleaner, more detailed. Showing off a display, or rather a grand achievement to be shown off. A spacious well lit room, the monitors going down, everything very much on display. The darkness rust seems more like polish now, like this is a mechanical pony guard. Rather than something to fear.

If the lights were green, I'd swear she's a necron x)
And you really improved your skills. You don't need the dark light trick to hide small imperfections anymore — and the new one is lit and proudly shown.
