Voy is armor. But i haven't mentioned his backstory yet, so I'll describe it briefly: Voy is a revolutionary, a "ghost in the shell", whose matrix is... Man. Yes, that's right. Voy himself is no longer a man, but the product of horrible mixture of ambition and matrix memory, as well as some "program" that in one moment turned Voy into a repulsed rebel, destroying not just the society that broke him, but also his own world.

I won't specify why yet, but before the revolutionary upheavals Voy was called Thanat. He called himself a Voy.
