now that has been the peak of my trip to South-Africa in 2022 by far ... suiting in a wildlife reserve ... no fences ... dangerous wildlife (me being the most dangerous ofc ... so tempted to cuddle anything down into the dust ^^)
a long dream had come true: visiting southern Africa ... and taking the suit with me while visiting the SAFC in 2022 in Jo'burg (https://south-afrifur.co.za). In connection with visiting the neat little furcon we had some days extra doing a road trip around Jo'burg. The Pilanesberg Wildlife reservation is a very neat and highly recommendable "little" (plan 2 days ...) park not too far from Jo'burg allowing self-driven safaris.
Here we are on the highest vista point in the park, overlooking this magnificent landscape. There are more viewpoints down in the valley and they are usually sort of enclosed to discourage any wildlife from entering so visitors can leave their cars in relative safety and check hidden outlooks to spot wildlife. But not here ... this is completely open all around and there could be lions or other dangerous wildlife around (low probability though ...), so you need to stay alert.
we were alone most of the time save for a guided tour which's guide was very surprised to see a lion up here :)
I might write a journal as travel report, and surely will post some more pictures, stay tuned.
Holy moly it was just perfectly great to overlook pride lands :) Thank you
darkshine12 for hauling me around and showing me ZA! And the pictures ofc ^^
