where there are people, there are problems.
And sometimes, those problems needs to be dealt with in ways that are unsavory to the everyday common man.
Likewise, Baramor has an underworld where such tasks are being put up to be completed by those who have chosen this way of life, nicknamed "Solvers"
Tasks can range from simple subtle disturbance, to vandalisme, intimidation and aslo, murder.
Tasks are divided by colors, to let the "solvers" know what to expect from the job in terms of difficulty, level of professionalism and of course, payment.
A newly anointed solvers can´t just take the highest level of job.
Persecution among their own when failing harshly or creating reputation damage, is a practice ferociously done to protect the institution - aka- you fuck up on a big job, you pretty much die.
The people putting up these tasks are all anonymous, and as long as payment is provided, it matters not if the task is from a disgruntled commoner, or a wrathful noble.
Only the tasker or "tallier" knows.
Jobs are colored as follow:
Grey - easy
Azure - medium
Vermillion - hard
Onyx - hard / will-most-likely-cost-your-life-hard
Grey tasks can range from low skill-requred tasks such as:
Sensitive message/information delivery, stalking, or civil-interrogation, and so called "bully/brute" tasks.
Azure tasks are of higher importance, but is also a sort of stable of the underworld,
as these tasks almost always surrounds nobles/lords/individuals-of-status and what squabbles they might have with whomever.
Murder CAN be a thing here, but mostly it´s harrasment, stealing, intimidation and spying.
Vermillion tasks are high level of task, both in skill, finesse and intricacy. At this level, the job can
involve all sorts of tasks, including assasination, but also complicated heists or even a mission in another nation.
The payout is also very well at this level. fuckups though, are almost always deadly at this level as well.
Onyx tasks are the highest level of jobs the underworld organization can get.
These can only be requested by the very top of society, and only under certain circumstances such as:
Political catastrophe, war, or an ultimate understanding by the underworld, can they be erected.
Unusually, in addition to being extremely rare and special, these jobs normally has no traditional pay/reward.
The tasks at this level are of such importance, that it is in all's best interest to solve the presented problem.
Though, it´s believed that great favors and other goodies are bestowed the organization.
Hence why they are still able to opperate more or less as a singular unit apart from the Baramor-govenment.

If you task him with cleaning 132 Nook roots, he will clean that amount, exactly, no skipping, no hurrying up. etc.
And since his matriarch told him to return to the enclave, he did just so.
Minalasi is well an truly alone!..

Normally yes!
They are after all, trained from the moment they can construct a coherent thought that such is life!
And it is like this as well in this enclave ( cant wait to show! )
But...
When the matriarch sends her guards home to frolic in the flowers alone...
There are no 10/1
Only a local racial leader, a human with a dagger and the quiet of the forest.

I don't know why it took so long for me to discover this comic, but I'm glad I did. You definitely have a new follower here.
Dunno what it is, but I've gotten absolutely hooked on the little critters over the last few months, to the point where I've designed my own yinglet and started writing a story series involving her. Kind of amusing when I got to the part with Mori`rai's eyes going red, and him getting back and being asked in #97 if that's a thing they can do, because Vayryn's eyes actually do turn red like that as her "odd quirk/mutation". Whenever her face is flushed enough, it manifests as her eyes going red until she calms down enough. She hates it, though, describing it as "Cliche anime bullshit eyes". ^_^

Funny race aint they? :D
And thank you for enjoying my stuff!
looking forward to show more!
Such a mutation could very well be a thing, Vals´s said that the skys´s the limit for these guys ( except if one gains wings somehow )
They really are fantasy-mother-natures testing-dummies.

Well, part of the fun part is that the story takes place on modern-day Earth. A mad scientist fan of the comic made a functional Zhat Zhing replica (though possibly not using the same method) and left it as a "gift" for her to find. But either Za Bastard (She has no idea who did this, so that's what she calls him, though it could be a her, or even a yinglet or something else entirely. If he can do this, there's no guarantee he's still human...) designed that quirk, or he left some "randomness" in place that manifested.
But now she gets to manage a Twitter account, deal with other fans, stereotypes from people familiar with the species, confusion from people who aren't, and being especially confounding to current medical science. Once she gets properly examined, the eyes are basically a layer of blood vessels that engorge and "squeeze" the pigment cells out of the way, until they stop being flushed and shrink back down to their normal place. It happens with anything that turns her face red, it's just that anger's the only thing she's discovered so far. Heavy embarrassment, getting drunk, being held upside down, probably others...
She'd be jealous of Mori's ability to pronounce "th", she hasn't managed it herself. Though she gets flak if she even uses it in writing online, since everyone expects the yingspeak. ^_^

No, hateful. Your words are the words that drive countless people to suicide. Your hate murders people like me. Not only that, but such hate makes us targets of violence. You might not have the blade in your hand, but you embolden those who do. And you personally ignore facts to hold on to your hatred.
You disgust me. Do not speak to me further.

So glad that you have enjoyed it!
I have the whole basic story planned out on documents and in my head, from the very start to end. :D
However, on a day to day basics as the page is being created, I will have the current situation - In this case, "The matriarch returns home " in mind, and continually replaying it in my head-
Planned conversations, "camera views", poses etc, are all subject to change or deleted/switched out entirely at this point, if it helps out creating the scenario I imagined. It´s both a very solid and very fluid work process!
