Merv deals with portals... and that means once in a while you wind up in another reality for a bit. Here he has just met a Sek named Yari and the Amasador Coon Surya, a racoon morph. She's taking a moment to explain some local politics, what a Sek is, and why he keeps scaring them so badly. Turns out Sek were once preyed upon by large avian predators on their desert home world. No wonder Merv makes the poor million year old alien nervous.

Coon won this one from a game on a mutual friend's Discord server. (Bird brain me broke the count, so I picked a number for my pennance) The prompt for the winner was: "Please tell me the lesson Merv is going to learn." Coon won and they picked Sek, so this scene from Merv meeting Sek came to be.
