I've lately been watching the newest anime by Studio Gainax, "Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt"
What a fantastic show. It's hillarious, it's awesome, it looks cool.
So, I decided to draw a fan character as others have done.
The basic idea of the show is that these two angels, Panty and Stocking, fight Ghosts which are spirits turned bad. Panty uses a gun and Stocking uses a sword. But where would two angels get such weapons? Their namesakes, of course! Panty takes off her panties and it turns into a gun, Stocking takes off her stocking and it turns into a sword.
So their weapons come from various articles of clothing.
So in turning myself into a vigilante ghost killer of Daten City, I gave myself a pair of electrified whips that come from the straps hanging off my belt and named myself thusly.
I tried copying the style of the show, It was quite a lot of fun to do and I think I nailed it fairly well.
