This is part one of my portfolio pieces. This is the line art for "Connection"

I was supposed to inturrpret the word in my own ways and in the picture. Since my "almost bf" and I are going to be split apart by several states next year... I thought I'd do this. The string is symbollically red, from a chinese proverb that states "True lovers are connected by a red string of fate from their birth." The string wraps around a cell phone and computer because that is how he and I will communicate. The corner is cracked to show the opposite sides. They are both reaching for a doorknob (although one isn't there >< Damn scanner). The lighting comes from the girls end to show her bright future against his not so immaculate one. Her legs stretch more for her excitement, but her body twists more to show how she wants to still be with him. He doesn't twist much and isn't stretched so because of his assurance of her and his own of himself. Their arms say connection because it's where they're connected. The pulse from their eyes shows how their respective heart beat and burst when they're together. ^^
