Like the Evas in Evangelion, Marcos have a limited time to fight at full energy because his breathing troubles and his fox stamina. You already saw it, is 180 seconds, and if he is already recognized by his agility and speed and very short range combat, know that is all a spectacle to see him like that
BUT, in cases of EXTREME necesity, he have what he calls the desperate mode. Think in a Bruce Lee mode for 23 seconds. He actually discovered by pure accident when some of their "partners", when he barely had enter to the army, tried to punch him to convince him to leave the army "because they didn´t wanted a weak fox with them"
Now try to imagine how many rivals of about his same or some more strenght he could defeat horribly in that 23 seconds XD In that first time, was 14, and that with the the red fox still barely trained
The bad is, that do this, he SURE will end fainted on the floor. Consumes basically all his energy to obtain ALL his possible energy for every punch, kick, bite and dodge move
Their instructors told him, very specifically, that he NEVER should use that level of energy in a fight, because could have permanent damage in his body plus also let him totally vulnerable after that short "hyper crazy time". For G5 times, Marcos actually used it just once more time, and was, very predictably, in a street fight to help 3 girls from a huge gang of drunks. Fortunatly he wasn´t alone, Ramón and Diego Lancaster also had lot of work preparing the guys for the police arrive >=3

Oh yes, that is the huge trouble of this. Also, without a knife or something similar, this is not very effective against a very strong , big and heavy rival as a bear, a buffalo or like that. The hits would be lot stronger than usual for a fox, yes, but is not much for that creatures IF Marcos is not in "killing mode" (main target throat, middle of chest, eyes, kidneys, crotch).

Diego: Marcos basically becomes an explosion. A powerful, deadly explosion. But, an explosion is over quickly and once it is over, there is not much left. Me at 100 percent is like a fuel tanker on fire. A relentless destructive force that can’t be stopped. Marcos at 100 percent is that same fuel tanker exploding instead of burning uncontrollably.
