In one sense, yes, but in another way, she'd probably play the role of the court jester...
Now hear me out, as I know how that sounds, but I do not mean that she'll be the butt of everyone's jokes (Let's face it, that'd happen regardless) or be there to entertain Kathy. What many people fail to realize about the court jester (aka The Fool) is that their entire job is to keep the King(or in this case Queen) Humble. There's even a story out there about one kingdom who would turn to the court jester to voice their concerns to the king, simply because the king would legitimately listen to him. Like I said on the previous post, Jinjur would most likely function like those tabloid magazines that Songween keeps around for the same function.
As I said, "Every king needs his fool, or else he's likely to become the fool himself."

Sometimes, you need someone with nothing to lose to tell you what you need to hear.
Then again, the Fool can still lose his life... and some Kings and Queens were not so gracious to their court jesters. Though I suppose the death of a jester is a pretty clear sign of just how bad things are.
