Let's upload right now, because i don't want to postpone it anymore.
I know it's late now. I know it was a long wait. Also some of you might know, that i had a pretty rough time with my drawing. And to be honest i still don't feel so secure about my next postings. And some of them might show it.
This one i made during my peak of breakdown but still wanted to try this idea. I don't know how it is in other countries, but Poland is HUGE on mushroom picking, and when autumn comes, many people go crazy about going to forests to claim as many mushrooms as possible. Anf then brag what and how big and how many of they they have picked.
Expect me and my closest family. We don't share this craze. And i have never gone to any forest to pick up some mushrooms. But still fun subject to draw. Chosen a vixen since i believe foxes are natural mushroom fans.

I've heard about this mushroom craze. We have chanterelles around here in Georgia, and they're easy enough to find in the fall -- really tasty too, but that's proportional to how much butter you cook them in. In Wisconsin they have morel mushrooms, and that's as big a deal for foraging as I've ever seen in this country. I never even tried to compete by hunting my own.
I can't deny, this scene makes me very happy :) I hope she manages to fill that basket.

I can't really say anything about cooking mushrooms since my family doesn't really eat them, beyond classic champignon mushrooms. But if they want them, they just buy them from the grocery shop.
To be honest, I remember once riding a maintanance train with only a group master, train runner and one worker onboard. And were are going to 60km away station during early season. The runner and the worker were carefully looking away for mushrooms along the railway and they were also hotly negotiating who is going to pick which side of track when driving back to base! It was all insane for me like never seen that before. And even to this day some coworkers don't get my disinterest in picking mushrooms.
Anyway, thank you and i am glad that you decided to comment on my picture. Your art quality is something that i admire and i aspire to do one day.

Not only USA.
Death cap is also pretty common accidental killer in Europe.

Even 50g can be deadly. This is also one of the reasons why i have never been interested in mushrooms beyond watching them in catalogues. One mistake can be way too fatal.

Ja też nie podzielam tej grzybowej pasji. No po prostu nie cierpię grzybów! >_<
