"Flux powered blades or mostly commonly known as "Glass Razors" are a type of weapon that uses artificial manipulation of the universal residual energy to covert a small piece of stone in to an almost indestructible and unbelievably sharp blade.The true origin of this technology is completely unknown, archeological expeditions done in the Dustlands found preserved exemplars dating more than 60.000 years old, most scholars believe this tech was been lost and reclaimed several times during history by countless civilizations, each one adding or subtracting from its original design.

Contrary to what most people believe the true "magical" part of these blades are not the base material of the blade, which is usually just a unremarkable piece of quartz, but instead the micro reactor, these small wonders of technology can tap in the endless stream of energy that permeates the very fabric of reality to power the blade, once powered the base mineral will expand and become a perfectly smooth almost transparent surface around 1mm thick while the edge will be even thinner,while they may look frail, such blades can sustain impacts that would completely shatter even a masterfully crafted steel sword, due the ludicrous sharpness of the edge and the hardness of the powered material, the user could even damage armoured vehicles and structures, and those with supernatural reflexes could even deflect high caliber projectiles.

Although incredible such technology has limits, while the micro reactors could tap in to infinite energy, its imperfect construction could lead overheat, so a glass razor could be only used for short periods at the time, even the best blades could not be used for more than half hour without a pause,for this reason and the elevated costs of production and maintenance this technology never saw mainstream use in the old world, it was reserved only for wealthy explorers, monarchs and renown airship captains, nowadays in the endless wastes of the shattered world even fewer individuals have the opportunity to wield such a weapon." "Why didn't they made a larger version of these reactors TO POWER CITIES? endless energy is like THE ENDGAME OF CIVILIZATION!" they tried...you can still find the several kilometers deep craters in the desert where they almost succeeded...the flux is a semi sentient force, it don't like to be enslaved, it will not mind a pocket size reactor sucking its power...but a entire power plant will not go unnoticed.
