Some medieval stuff for a change, since I've been reading up on Stuart/Stewart and Tudor fashion (alongside the history of the House of Stuart in general) and had the sudden urge to sketch some aristocratic arthropods. Still messing with shading techniques and character designs and all that. Trying to push myself to use colors other than various "neutral" shades of brown, yellow, etcetera. I also attempted to visually represent the female-biased sexual size dimorphism between the king and the queen consort.
Probably won't be giving these two much lore, but I might be able to allude to them as being the distant ancestors of a current (reigning) royal family.
