ChiralChimera, during their training as squires to become knights, Mephis trained with Kai in the training arena, becoming friends with the charismatic husky, yet as time went on, Mephis found time and time again, that Kai was simply stronger then him in the field of combat and would often more times then not, be on his knees with Kai standing above him, basking in another victory against him. It was at this point that Mephis had to work on his own strengths, mainly; his intelligence and while trying to improve his skills as a fighter, Mephis studied the art of military tactics, strategy to train his mind to provide tactical support and leading a battle, even dabbing into some psychology, learning about the mind of the medieval folk to find ways to manipulate a situation to his advantage.
