I'm starting a comic soon, and this is the inked version of the poster I'm going to make for it. I'll be promoting it (hopefully) at Anime Central.
Each one of these characters represents me and four of my friends.
Essentially, the comic is about five friends who get this online game, called 'Chainsplitter'. The comic jumps between the game and real life, portraying their lives both in game, and out of game.
In the game, there are three different types of classes. Hunter, Hacker and Teckno.
Hunters are self explanatory. They're the weapon masters of the game. Able to use any and all weaponry known and can adapt cunningly to any and all situations. They're swift learners and deadly with their weapon arts.
Hackers are the 'magic users', tapping into the spiritual ether of the realm, converting it into data to use for their skills and techniques. They have the potential of being the most powerful beings, but with such power, comes the possibility of being 'corrupted' by viruses. If a Hacker obtained too much power and couldn't repel the complete onslaught of viruses, he'd be completely taken over and turned aganst the world that created him.
Tecknos need the most explanation
Tecknos are the mechanical elite. Many work exclusively with machines and vehicles. In this world, they're the -only- ones qualified to work around them. Using psychic energy within their minds, they 'speak' to the machinery, the only way to actually fix them is to "link" with them, as the telepathic connection suggests. Many can use weapons hunters can, and some can use skills that Hackers can, but because they're not perfectly attuned to a specific set, they can't rise as high in their weapon skills as Hunters can, and can't rise as high in power with skills that Hackers can use, but they're well rounded. So, a Teckno can use a hunter's weapon, can use the skills affiliated with said weapon, but can only obtain a third of the skills available to a fully-fledged hunter. Same goes for Hacker abilities.
There are a lot of races within Chainsplitter. Humans, Cyborgs, Andriods, Morphs, Anthros, Half-Breeds, Constructs and Espers.
Humans, self explanatory.
Cyborgs, humans that have, by one means or another, taken up few or many cyberized parts.
Andriods, completely robotic humanoids.
Morphs take on a human apperance most of the time and can take on the apperance of -any- monster or being they come across. Data is stored in a head-unit to allow transformation on a whim.
Anthros, which can come in a wide variety of different species.
Half-breeds are genetically created clones in the game that resemble both humans -and- animals, but possess human intellect and allowed to walk amongst other humans.
Constructs are sort of like chimeras. They're physical constructs of, at most, dozens of different species of...hell, anything you can think of. They're considered 'failed' experiments and have been banished from civilization. Many though have made friends with Tecknos and have been given cloaking devices to allow them to pass as humans to at least live a life of peace.
Espers are spirits, possessing the ability to manifest to the physical and spiritual realm whenever they wish. They possess the ability to fly and pass through solid objects.
Top left corner: Gad- Hunter/Morph
Top right corner: Rega- Hacker/Cyborg
Middle left: Frostwire- Hunter/Human
Lower right: Dante- Hacker/Human
Lower Left: Is my character, and I can't figure out what to call him!!!
People! Now is your time to help me out! Offer some sacr- suggestions to the great Chainsplitter god!
Here are a few names I came up with. Akoi, Kiske, Kiren, Kunio, Tanu, Hideyo or Hideyoshi, Rintaro, Taro, Tesuke.
Help a guy out! :D

Well I have to say I love the character designs. Also, the world you've created for them is intriguingly extensive. My hat off to you.
As for a name, at first glance I felt pulled toward "Kiske" and "Tesuke". Use that as you will. All the best for your little endeavor!

:smiles: Thank you kindly. That means quite a lot to me. To be quite honest, I could've gone on, but that would've probably broken the server and would've made the admins cry.
I shall take your word for consideration, cause not five minutes prior to posting this, a friend of mine was leaning towards those two very same names.
Must be coincidence! Thank you once again! I appreciate you taking the time to view, comment and read my lengthy explanation to the picture.

:nods in understanding: You are most welcome. Being someone who has created extensive worlds and characters myself (as well as a few full languages) I know something of the hours you've spent on this thing. I'd be interested to hear more, so I think I'm just going to have to follow you work some. +watch for sure, mate.

Ah, that's quite a feat indeed. I hope to reach a status like yours one day where I've got several worlds under my belt.
I just might come to you for some advice now and then! But yes, many hours, and it seems I'm still putting more and more into the project.
Thank you for the watch!
