you might not know this, or even believe it, but I was active in a youth church group for several years, and I read the bible quite a bit, mostly cus that's the only good book avaiable and I easily got bored during meetings. I haven't exactly read it cover-to-cover but I am quite familiar with it. And there are many parts of the bible that I really enjoy, it is a great piece of anchient litterature after all (though so is the illiad and oddyssey, the Bhagavad-Gita, tao te ching and the qu'ran, and I might do something similar with verses from there as well)

I scetched out quite a few of these, ranging from the ones I think are good advice ot the ones I like because I love seeing the look on peoples faces when they realize "There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses."*.

Oh and let's not forget the support of slavery, the dietery code that forbids seafood and ham sandwhiches, the human sacrifice, Jesus saying "But to bring a sword - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - [ Översätt den här sidan ]"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword...". I'm telling you, the bible is a GREAT book, and there's no faster way to become an atheist than to actually read it...
