Digital Chibi Honni
OHMYGAWDWHATISTHISIDON'TEVEN
That's right. Digital. This was colored on a computer. By me. This chibi took somewhere around 4 hours, I'm guess. XD The sketch took about 1 or 2 minutes.
I just picked a random sketch out of my sketch pile (one done for a friend. I'll get to the description of the actual character in a moment.) and ran away with coloring. This is the first digital picture I've been proud enough of to post.
Breaking into digital art was one of my Artistic New Year's Resolutions. So, I'm slowly but surely taking steps in that direction!
Anyhoo, the line art for this isn't very good, since it was never meant to be a finalized picture, but I'm very proud of the color.
<3 So, what do you guys thiiiink?! All this was done in Open Canvas. I'm still experimenting with other programs. I'm working on some more digital work now, and I'll post it soon.
Anyhoo! Now on to a description about the character. This is called a Honni! This Honni is named Honni. Honnis are very special creatures. They have big, round ears (because they're very good listeners) and huuuuuge tails (to whap you with when you aren't taking your medicine).
This one is special, however. The tip of her tail can change colors! Right now it's pink because it matches her outfit. <3 Also, her hair can change not only colors, but styles. All without dye or scissors! She's a rather fashionable one, and she likes to change it up.

I like it 'cos it isn't overdone with endless shadows, lensflares and highlights. IOW, it looks like something I'd do.
