This was a character created by Werekitty39501 when she and I were dreaming up fan-characters for the Fallout-3 setting.


Armed with Pistol and Combat Shotgun the Roving trader Alex has a well-deserved reputation of being tough... but fair. If Alex thinks you can afford full price for something you'll have to haggle long and hard to pay any less.

This hasn't exactly endeared Alex to the people of the Capital Wasteland, but they give this trader a lot of respect. You know you'll never get ripped off by Alex, the goods found on Alex's Bhramin 'Doofus' are always priced accordingly to rarity and condition.

What nearly everyone Alex meets never guesses is that Alyx is more percisely an Alexandra. Although the coming of the nukes has blasted away most of the sexism in the wastes she keeps up the facade of being a male so she's taken a little more seriously than a female trader would.
Also on a more personal level she fears slavers would target a lone woman more readily than a lone man.

She has shared her secret with her traveling Partner Andy Jones, who is attracted to her practical nature. (Practical enough that she doesn't blink at adding 'Strange Meat' to the foods the two of them sell) She in turn likes him for... being Andy, as his nice-guy personality isn't just for show.

Although we spoke about her character at great length I wasn't sure how to handle her hair, so I went for the most masculine-looking haircut in the game, and didn't bother putting the Roving Trader hat on her. I wanted people to see that under all that Roving Trader outfit bulk, there was an attractive yet stern woman.
