haha, that name was actually going to be my mother's, but it was changed last minute... so I always liked the name from hearing the jokes my mom and grandparents made of it. The song was always great, as well! XD

its actually a girl's name out where I live
there are a family and the dad named all the girls after cars
one is chevy, one is corvette, and the other is porche
its kind of sad how hillbilly my area of PA is! XD

If you want a really fun unisex name...I know a female Charlee. And if you want it more trailer trash, add an extra name to the end, like...Jane or Ann or Kay or May, etc.

Lourene or Bethany are the only appropriate names I could think of.

Mel for androgyny (what would her full name be?!?).

Also... I really like this design. I forget they are marsupials and I kind of miss living around them. I've been surrounded by those things for about 10 years until I moved closer to beach/ swampland so now all I get are raccoons and armadillos~

I'll try to keep it simple, dude. How about 'Shanga' - since the word 'hang' is in the middle, and opossums like to hang upside-down by their tails?

I dunno any good southern/western style names per say, but being from the south I do know that the most common names are either double names (Ann Marie, Laura Lou, etc) or last names serving as first names (McKinley, Carder, etc). And if this were my character I would lean towards western names. She just doesn't strike me as a southern bell, haha.
