Maetra with her Gauss rifle. Gauss technology is the most common form of weapons tech available in the Laeonid Fratyric Empire. Long arrays of electromagnetic coils inside the rifle's telescopic barrel propel physical ammunition at incredible speeds. Perfect against armor, most Laeonid Soldiers will be equipped with a Gauss rifle or Gauss pistol of some kind. Other forms of weaponry exist, from the recent Laser-emitter Rifle to the advanced Plasma rifle. Most energy-based weapons are new additions to the Laeonid arsenal, though older, larger, and less portable versions have been mounted on starship hulls for some time now.
