New fresh 2023 sketch incoming and this time as part of improving I decided to try something a little different and more action-y and of course with some fun contortion ( not that kind!... yet ) to really get a different body shape and who better than my MERVASian gecko-droid Arlo who is ready and able to show off that flexibility!
Seems Arlo was asked by some keen viewers to show off a little, maybe a handstand maybe the tail end / landing of a backflip or maybe a bit of a unique push up or maybe even posing as a reference... but a bigger question is why is he naked? And does it matter? Regardless Arlo's sturdy enough to hold that pose for as long as needed so everyone can get as many views or pictures that they need. Who doesn't like a little implied exhibitionism ~.=.^
Also as part of my training to get better I did work from a partial reference as I need to try and get a better grasp on some parts and views and hey nothing wrong with it! Plus he came out looking way better than I expected, head needs a little more tweaking but other than that I'm very happy with this and might go ahead and ink this as soon as I figure out the background, yep I want to try and put in more work to placing these wonderful charcters in more than blank white empty "galleries".
One more side note with my drawing tablet KO'd I dusted off my old ancient intuos930 and have been getting a handle on drawing on a non screen table again.

^.=.^ heh I know right, nothing like seeing Arlo back in the light and showing off and yeah he's pretty dang important and yyyeeepp he is more flexible than most which is quite the boon isn't it. Mhm that is not an easy pose especially one handed too and here he is doing it with ease and all for a captivated audience and a special someone too ~.=.^
