Earlier on in the campaign, Asterix, along with the rest of the party, died. They were resurrected, but corrupted. Asterix's corruption was him becoming more bestial and dragon-like, sprouting wings and hair. Fortunately, he was un-corrupted at the end of the campaign, but he does miss the chest hair.
