You speak as though you dont know who Beetlecat is.. or atleast havent looked through any of her gallery.
You would see that her suits are built to withstand such small things as snow.
Water does not wreak fabric. Otherwise we as a human race would be a tad bit less winter friendly.
She creates her own suits, I'm sure she knows what they can handle and what they cant. :3

I'm sure they're sturdy and all... its just hard to dry some things, like foam heads, once they absorb moisture. This is especially true if certain types of foams are used in padding and head structure, and if they aren't treated for resistance to fungal growth, that can even happen too.

I'm not saying it WILL happen, but they're a lot braver than I would be.

But yes, they're having fun together and being adorable. Win. ^^

You have to get it wet when you wash it... Wait, you do wash your fursuits right?

I'll bet the best part about wearing a suit in the snow is you stay nice and toasty.

Right up until the suit soaks through, and suddenly you're wrapped in the equivilant of an ice-cold wet towel! XD

Oh gods, I LOVE playing in snow in fursuit!

And yeah, people worry WAY too much, rolling around in snow isn't any worse than sprawling out on grass, better in a lotta ways. Dunno why people think fursuits are made of cotton candy. =O.o=

Probably because some fursuit creators probably don't build them strong enough to withstand actual use. However, professionals like Beetlecat and others build them strong.

I'll admit, perhaps I've just been spoiled.

Only suits I've worked with directly are those built by myself (which I can attest makes you fearless, you made it once you can repair it again!), two by Soki Twopaws, and another coming up by Rose Quoll who made NeoPan Tyger's suit ages back. =^.^=

It was all newly fallen just days before. Such luck! I don't get to play in classic Christmas snow very often

Same here, the Christmas eve 2009 snow we got was a rarity in itself, 16" and broke a nearly 90 year old record.

well of course if a suit has been made properly and sturdily there would be no problem to getting it wet, unless there was airbrushing, which i don't think i've seen on your work. if there was, it wouldn't be so easy to just fool around and get soaked... wow people with airbrushed suits must be missing out on alot of fun ;_;

Actually I airbrush all of my suits lol. Feet included. Snow will wear it off much faster, but I'm able to reairbrush as needed :p

oh o.o i don't see it then... guess that means you do a good job of blending it in! but for people who don't have ready access to an airbrusher to fix faded paintjobs, it's probably a good idea not to get it soaked too often o.o

A big snow dump and then a sudden upswing in temperature. It was a rare and gorgeous week :D

It must have been cooooold. That snow looks like sugar. which usually means no moisture what so ever.
At least that's what I get up here in Alaska. Ice flakes rather than snowball snow. But that looks like bundles of fun.

It fell while it was really cold and then warmed up to just below freezing. Best of both worlds!

Looks like getting a face full of snow in suit is not a big deal and those paws make great snow scoops.
