Oggle made a critical mistake : aggravating badgers is a great skill to have, but it can backfire if the ball is in the badgers' camp.

Or DID he? If you recall, he and his fellow cute happy bunnies have the friendly fox referee under their thumb. How likely is it that Oggle would be willing to potentially take a hit to the stomach just so he could get an opponent powerful enough to knock him out, banned from the competition for assaulting him? They know the referee's standing right there so bias is out of the question, a fool-proof plan which I wouldn't put past them, sneaky nasty animals.

But wait there's more. What if the bunnies instead judge that such an easily controlled by anger meat-head opponent migth actually be an asset? If they can quietly let their pet referee know that they don't want the badger to get in trouble, which would make sense as well due to the bunny provoking him, it would furthermore clear them of suspicion that they control the referee. You'd have to be crazy to see through such a plan and if you're crazy, nobody will listen to you.

Now of course what if the referee sees an opportunity to get back at those who kidnapped him and viciously spanked and humiliated him? Surely he can think of something. After all, he still has time. First match would be against the badger league. Whether or not he was affiliated at all with the fox team, he might consider it, if only for revenge.
