Life as a field agent can get pretty tough. Not only do you have to deal with the constant stares of passerby (though a lot of agents don't mind that), the unfortunate presence of superheroes often derails what you're doing. And what seems like a routine tussle can often turn into a brutal struggle.
After one of her crews was assaulted by a particularly powerful cape, Mercy was sent in to extract them and get them to safety. However, the arrival of SWAT teams made things even stickier for the villains, and when the big shark saw a grenade being thrown, she made an instant decision. Putting herself between the grenade and her teammates, she took most of the damage. And while it saved them, it ended up putting her in serious danger.
After the crew got to the extraction site and alerted their escort's crew to Mercy’s condition, she was flown to an offshoot site, one far away from main HQ but with the tools they needed to stabilize the injured tank. After stabilization, it was back to base, and when Mercy next awoke (nearly a week after she was blown up), she came out with a number of new enhancements.
For one, her torso had been completely replaced with a metallic equivalent. Made of thaumaturgically-enhanced steel and titanium, it pairs with a hardened bone structure and increased bone density (among other various enhancements) to make Mercy impervious to almost any explosive.
Inside her torso, stored snugly in a specialized chamber built around her internal organs, is a belt-fed machine gun capable of firing 600 rounds per minute. Added to give Mercy some ranged attacks, this wide-spreading devastation machine adds to the shark's already-impressive lethality.
The other big enhancements were her arms and hands, which had been ruined by the explosion. These robotic replacements can crush objects at over 4,000PSI, they have the strength of a crocodile's bite and can destroy even the toughest superhero's hands. The hands can also be launched through a specialized compressed-air system, great for pinning enemies to walls.
As for the watch... as Q once said, "it tells the time."
Thank you to Voidyy for this great piece of art! Very glad to have another piece of Korps art in my collection, more soon to come!
