Cornidia was once a queen of a desolate domain of shadows. Although her 'kingdom' held no subjects, she was an individual who possessed frightful power and was feared by many people in the neighboring lands. Everything changed however when the Oblivion's Followers arrived to her universe.
Cornidia is a mage of frightful power, having mastered the art of shadow magic. Due to said magic having a negative stigma - and her disdain towards 'pompous mages who would never understand the benefits of shadow magic' - she claimed a large chunk of land away from others and declared herself 'Queen of Ravens'. She is a very prideful individual, taking great satisfaction in her beautiful appearance and magical abilities; displaying them both for all to see. She is also someone who is very spiteful and will hold no hesitation in cutting others down, whether it be verbally on most cases or literally during the extreme ones. Ultimately however she is not an evil individual, but her rather vain personality has often driven many away - until she joined Oblivion's Followers.
Although her body is rather frail and vulnerable, her mastered skill in shadow magic more than makes up for her weak frame. She is capable of utilizing any and all nearby shadows, manipulating them into solid objects to strike down others who dare threaten her. These shadows are often shaped into tendrils, spikes, and maws for simplicity and effectiveness - however she is capable of creating more complex shapes if she so desires. Lack of shadows does however weaken her, but her greatest trump card is a spell of her creation - Avatar of Shadows. This spell wreaths her entire form in darkness before transforming her into an andromorphic raven made of pure darkness, said form absorbing all lighting within the vicinity and creating darkness wherever she goes. When transformed, the entirety of the darkness around her can be used and nothing is safe from her.
Note 1: At first Cornidia treated Oblivion's Followers as mere trespassers to her realm, however their unique appearance - as well as abilities and technology - quickly fascinated her. She did challenge them to a battle in order to gauge their power - a match that ultimately ended in a draw with her and the one she challenged. Their tales of their travels quickly grew her attention and she thus demanded to meet with Oblivion, after such an audience was allowed she quickly found herself overwhelmed by the sheer amount of power she could feel radiating from the Shandarah - even though a vast amount of Oblivion's power is suppressed. After meeting and speaking with Oblivion, she decided to 'form an alliance' between the Raven Domain and Oblivion's Followers, even though technically in the end this was her saving her pride so that she may join the group and experience what they have experienced.
Note 2: Her fascination with ravens came from when she was a child, where she befriended a flock of ravens. These ravens often gave her many things in exchange for seeds and bits of bread, one of these things being a crumbled page showing some introductory steps to casting shadow magic.
Note 3: Her rather conceited personality has toned down considerably after she joined the Followers, especially since many of these Followers are as strong as she is or being even stronger. Although being much more humbled after having witnessed a great amount of what the multiverse has to offer, she still takes pride in herself and is willing to prove her capabilities if challenged.
