superior:D. my only gripe is it looks like he doesn't have a neck, like it thickened and merged with his chest into an untapered whole... but it could just be the the viewing angle that makes it look off. I'd wager a detail tweak, like say inking, would reveal if this is the case or not.
Thank you very much for the critique! It's always great to hear what others see.
It is the perspective that made it difficult for me, especially whith the neck-part. I see now that maybe I've left a few confusing lines too many there, heh.
Will probably fix him up someday, but for now he will be confused-necked :P

not a problem at all:) I suppose its only fair I point out some plusses too: The hands and feet are of course very well done, plenty of articulation there, but the thing I think that stands out most for me are the sprouting wings. After eyeballing it for a while (As anyone does if they like a picture) I noticed how the fingers were spreading and pulling out of the central mass, or the "Arm" of the wing. Unlike many similar concepts though, you have the fingers folded against the arm: most others show the fingers splayed wide apart as they pull out, which just feels less, I don't know, natural? ;p
anyway, I can almost imagine the arm-bones splintering into individual fingerbones inside the flesh where it is impossible to observe without an X-Ray, before growing flesh pulls those new bones out, leaving just enough flesh connected for the wing webbing.
I guess the easiest way to describe it is, it feels more anatomically feasible to see them forming from the arms, rather than all sprouting from the top mass (the wrist?) where things would get clustered and complicated.
well I tried to explain anyway;p Yah, the more I look at this picture, the more it grows on me (pun sort of intended;) ) So I think I'll make it a favorite. I look forward to more sharp work from you in the future! :D

That's exactly how I thought of the wings being created! Either that or that the wingmass emerge tight against the back, creating bone and webbing calmly against the skinsource before folding out. But it felt more dramatic for the piece to go for the potruding winggrowth.
Thank you once again ^^
