He enjoys studying the flora and fauna of his world and even has a flock of parrots he's befriended that he introduces some of his students to when they show either a passion for their world and its natural beauty or an interest in preserving nature. Arcaeus, along with several others, is a teacher at Halwind Academy on a tropical island that's known for its variety of wildlife, magical plants, and vast jungle. All beings are welcome to study at the academy, and Arcaeus is also more than happy to play tour guide for visitors when he's not teaching.

He also is Ferafel's guardian and, although she decided to attend the other academy, Shalivale, is proud of her and hopes the best for her future.
