As said, Anthrites take the place of the human majority as the crowning species of Aetheria (Earth); They can be a perfect 50/50 of human-animal DNA, more animalistic like a feral but not quite, or even something similar to what human culture calls a "Neko" with more human-like traits.
However, some of the humanoid successors made are seen as like that of an accepted minority to this new majority - take for example this odd creature: The Spore Folk
Being made accidentally during an experiment by humanity while trying to create Arthropod Anthrite, the genetic code that was meant for these test subjects got absorbed into their body; And with enough time and the stunted evolution due to the testing they became sapient humanoids with sexual and asexual repoduction choices.
Their anatomy is meant to be my neat spin on anthro plants by doing fungi instead, which are closer to animals than plants despite being their own seperate thing. with their mycelium root now becoming a tail to absorb nutrients, simple pinhole eyes, and lack of human-esque vocal capabilities - their far different and yet second closest to a human in looks.
