Not a fan of holding onto artwork for months, but never know exactly when the publisher is ready to publish my work, so I have to preempt them and create content in advance. 'Duality of Forces' follows 'One Aon Fatality' and features a whole new batch of Aons, human/Forces amalgamations made by Horizons to destroy the gods of nature and give humanity dominion over Earth.
For 'Duality of Forces', the book is about duality, of contrasts and features a dual perspective. One is of Fatality, and the other is of her subjugated sister, Lexicon. There are a total of five Aons, but only Fatality is the true god among them. She is of light and healing, and represents the moon. The rest do not express such alignment, but it is fun to play with the idea of moon phases and match them to the other four Aons. Also, I love drawing space backgrounds, so this was a fun excuse to play with them for me while also creating content for my book. The combined image can be used as a 2560x1440 wallpaper for your widescreen desktops if you like. I'd personally love to create bookmarks out of these, but no one likes my work enough to line up for signed copies and merch, so it's just a pipe dream. They still look so cool though.
Moon image is provided by NASA (yes, you're allowed to use them as they're public domain!), and otherwise used my Chaotica 2 fractal stock to make the backgrounds. Boo was assigned the "Lunar Eclipse" because she's less overwhelming than her twin, Bass, but subtle, mysterious, and literally haunting. Something spooky is afoot when under a lunar eclipse, and that is Boo.
