Art is a werewolf on the moon.
This is a deep surprise, considering that they were from a human earth going to a human space colony where they could live among the stars. Yet they wake up to a biology lab in shambles, as a fluffy dog thing(oh no). The lead biologist is locked in stasis, there's a skeleton having a last toke before he croaked, and all that's left is a poorly explained TF machine.
Best get to work, then. The surviving colonists are counting on you to TF them into forms that will live long, prosperous lives.
Votes: Art's opinion of the TF, Sam's Starting Race(Kobold/Bunny/Mouse), Sam's Starting Class(Digger/Builder/Researcher)
The wolf is by Twokinds!
The kobold is by buckdasystem
 buckdasystem
The rabbit is by thefloorrat
 thefloorrat
The mouse is by drachenmagier on dA.
The computer is by Rachel Frick.
Woooooo. Wanted to churn something out before plowing into the YCH stories, so that I can get back in the swing of writing. Indulgent TF was transformation at the end of earth, but now we're in space! Spaaaaaaaaace. The premise is similar, in that we're making a colony of TF based on transforming human resources into viable colonists, but now with the added fun of technology and needing to breathe.
Art I made a lady, since Strive was a male-presenting null. Flip it around a little, though you do get to vote on what you want her to be if you feel that the starting race/gender just isn't cutting it for you.
Alaska is cold! I still don't have a car, but we're getting there. Work progresses apace, and once I have money flowing in things will be better.

Art probably would like this better in plaid, being real with you. As for Sam...I think we need a researcher more than anything right now, considering the circumstances, but let's make them a kobold so they can at least dig for materials and serve a dual purpose. We can probably change their species later if we really have to, considering that Art will probably have that option herself.

A new one of these! Now's my opportunity to stick with it from the beginning. Let's go.
Artifice: Survival Comes First. Priorities are important; we can worry about our shape once we're in a stabler situation. I'm the kind of person who would complain about the plumber in a porn flick not doing his job.
Sam's Class: Researcher. Research is something we want an early start on. Hopefully we can get a Builder soon.
Sam's Race: Mouse. Decreased strength is relatively unproblematic for a Researcher, and Artifice can handle the physical stuff if necessary.

For Sam I vote Kobold Builder.
For Arti I vote we try something that's probably too clever by half.
Maybe Something in Plaid, and by something I mean time travel. Commit to becoming a Time Wizard at some point in the future and then use the resulting time powers to travel back to now . This is the best plan and certainly won't result in a tyrant showing up from a bad future bent on ensuring that it comes to pass!

Odd! Go back, mess with the original TF and the clipboards, and then vamoose back to the future where everything is different.
For now, her only spell is to plug into the machine and use it without a dna sample or printing plan(useful for making things without samples like kobolds). In general there will be much less spellslinging about, but who's to say we can't invent a time machine?
