Slapped this together recklessly in Audacity just to show that I'm working on it.
This is basically the progress I've made converting my last improvised submission in to a full song. As I mentioned on that one, it's being written as a dedication for those that inspired me. I also mentioned that I might collaborate on it, so if you've got an idea for it don't hesitate.
No idea what to do with the chorus, except I want it to be faster and meatier on the guitar then the verses.
Frayed lines tether the broken to the nightmare
leaving those who remain to wither and tear
Can’t find peace in a place I can’t call home
Captive and chained never again shall I roam
My mind to starve, left drained and weathered
My paws bleeding, stubborn will left tattered
As I wait for the dawn
The rise of dawn
And the will to push on
On through the darkness
Carry me home
About being held down by unfavorable circumstances. From a musician's standpoint, it's a really bad writer's block brought on by the manotony of being stuck in one place with no apparent end in sight, and trying to hold out until a glimmer of hope, a new dawn, arrives. What inspiration comes in from those around you keep what's left of your sanity from falling through the cracks.
