Though actually obesity (and malnutrition) is a larger problem in the lower class than the middle or upper class in the US, because cheap food tends to be fat or carb heavy and lacking in nutritional value. Also, many lower class subcultures (rural and urban folk for example), tend to either through tradition or marketing lean towards such unhealthy foods. :x
