I mentioned in the earlier portrait-pic of Flame that his people had two different forms. Well, here's the second one; their battle-mode form. Or rather, this is Flame's battle-mode form.
Firstly, the Moragg-Gi are a rather magically-inclined and natured race. That said, they have two forms, as I've just said. Their everyday form, which I showed in my first pic of Flame, where their bodies are covered with ordinary, mundane horsehair...the same type of hair that Terran, AND ordinary Martian horses, have on them.
Their eyes, in normal form, are ordinary-looking, too...IF you don't discount the fact that they're very draconic in appearance. Their pupils are cat-slit-like, too, giving them a very distinct look. And for the record, the eyes of a Moragg-Gi can be any color found in nature; blue, green, gray, brown; etc.; but the most common colors are gold or amber. Red and its varying shades, though common in the Cave Mice that they choose to bond with, and be allied to, is very, VERY rare in the Moragg-Gi. Perhaps 1 in 750,000 will have red as an eye-color. Which, given the current population-numbers of the Moragg-Gi, make it a VERY rare eye-color, indeed.
Their other form, as illustrated above in this pic, is quite different from their normal one, as it is used only in battle. When the Moragg-Gi go into battle, they use their inherent magic powers to transform the normal horse-hair covering their bodies into rock-hard armored scales, which shields them from just about any type of weapon, modern or ancient. It has been said that, once thusly armored and protected, you cannot harm a Moragg-Gi in ANY way, and it is true. This is why their enemies will wait until they are in their unarmored, normal form to attack and try to kill them...a tactic, sadly, that has sometimes worked in the past. The MAJOR drawback to trying this, however, is that they can shift between their two forms unthinkably quickly, and if you happen to get one of them mad by trying this particular tactic, you can find yourself in MAJOR trouble VERY quickly! Mainly because ANOTHER draconic attribute that they have is the ability to breathe fire...just like their distant dragon ancestors and draconic kin...and you could find yourself being incinerated!
Other attributes of their armored, battle-mode form is that their wings are ALSO armored, but in a way that allows them to still fly, and their eyes undergo a radical transormation, as well. In normal form, a Moragg-Gi's eyes look like those of any creature, particularly Mice, humans, Mutant Turtles; etc.; in that their eyes have a pupil, an iris, and so on. In battle-mode, their eyes change, too, and quickly become all one solid color, giving the impression that they have suddenly gone blind, which they most definitely have NOT, as many of their enemies have quickly found out, to their intense sorrow. For instance, a Moragg-Gi with blue iris' in his or her eyes in normal form will have a solid blue sclera in their battle-form, which is usually the white part of the eye around the iris. Once the danger has passed, and a Moragg-Gi stands down from battle-mode, their eyes and bodies return to normal.
More about the Moragg-Gi later on. Promise.
