I dont think Kilani want to be a Martyr of her people, much less to keep the war going as prev pages she did express dissapoinment to the idea that peace between tiger and dragon almost imposible to make. I think is more of like her coming to terms with the idea that she was going to be killed as a "fair punishment" for the grief she caused to both tiger and dragons. So since she basically made peace of mind that that was gonna be her fate, she cant comprehend that she is being spare cause she never did take into account that it could be a posibility.
Obviously we want to see Kilani and Oscura patch things out and leave on good terms and it would see an end to the fighting, but the problem is with the Dragon alliance itself. If word got out that the queen allowed a Tiger into her own chambers and let her live, showed leniency and mercy, this "alliance" would quickly fall apart and the dragons would just go back to fighting each other. They wouldn't care that "the enemy" saved and cared for the matriarch's heir or that the previous queen died wanting an end to it all.
So the question becomes: what should Oscura do?
