I wanted to capture the intensity of a wolf's eyes, especially in a black wolf. I decided to try out some painting techniques I had just learned which involved moonlight on granite rocks. I love the intense gaze of a wolf looking up at the viewer with its head down, so all of that came out in this painting.
FYI, since people like to talk about it, this is indeed the painting of mine that sold for $10,000 at FC '04

Heh, I was waiting for you to upload this one again. I was always really impressed by this picture.
I've been a huge fan of yours since your art first appeared on the internet. I actually give full credit to you and Kyoht's art for inspiring me to get involved in the furry / anthro community, and for inspiring me to become an anthro artist.
I've got a question regarding commissions, although I'm sure your waiting list is a mile long... Do you do ConBadges at all? I'd be very interested in getting one for you sometime in the future.
