Part 1 of an idea my good friend
WolfyDarkfang had that I just had to commission. ^^
John was out getting a drink at the local bar. On his most recent visit to Wolfy's family mansion, he was almost gobbled up several times at the dinner table, and while he didn't mind it, he needed to go somewhere to destress. He doesn't drink alcohol, only ordering some Mtn Dew, but since nowhere else was open this late, he had to make do at the place. It was strange that no one else was there, just John and the bartender, who was, if anything, more annoyed at the lack of customers. After John got a refill of his soda, the bartender went to the back, complaining that the big preds in the mansion must have eaten his customers. That last comment left John sad, knowing that they wouldn't do that to anyone, but since they are preds, they were feared of doing such. He then felt homesick, wishing he was back at the crazy mansion when he heard a very ominous whistle.
John was creeped out by the whistle, making his skin crawl with dread. He looked around the room and asked through the darkness, "W-Who's there? S-Show yourself!" John looks to the side of the bar table and finds a walking still someone left behind, and grabs it, ready to hit someone with it if need be. "W-Where are you?" His teeth were chattering at this point, pointing the stick every which way, backing up towards the exit. The whistling was only getting louder and creepier, and all John wanted to do was get out of there, and as he almost was at the exit, he bumped into something a bit more... lively.
"Well, well, if it isn't Johnathon the Sweet and Tasty... in the flesh~ heheheheh" The creepy voice made John turn around, dropping his stick as he saw the eerie black cloak, its face covered by a large hood. John tried to walk away from them, scared of what could be under the hood. He then muttered a question, asking, "H-How do you know my name?" The hooded figure only chuckled, replying, "I've been following you for a loooong time, hehe." They then pulled up their hood, showing the terrified human their boney face. The skull didn't make the interaction any better, and the fact that they were a stalker made John want to run. He was scared of what they would do if he made sudden movements, so as John looked around for an alternative exit, he continued the conversation to distract them. "Y-You have been following me, huh. Heh, might I ask why a fellow as big and magnificent as yourself would be interested in someone like me?" This was met with a simple chuckle, their voice changing into a more goofy tone, and a playful reply of "Hehe, you don't remember me? We met a couple months ago, Johnathon, when Wolfy first brought you to the family mansion." John had to think about it for a second, trying to place him, and breathed a sigh of relief, happy that he was a friend.
"Oh, thank goodness. Yeah, I remember you, Viado. Your scary tone freaked me out. Heheh. Do you want to sit down? We can catch up." John then gestured toward the bar to his scary friend. Viado was more than happy to, and they sat next to each other at the bar. John yelled at the bartender at the back to get his Demon friend a drink, which made them almost leap out of there, happy to have a new customer. However, when they saw the demon sitting there, they went pale, scared of what he could do to their bar. Viado chuckled and asked the bartender in his scary voice, "Do you have some Fireball Whiskey? Need something strong for tonight." before placing his sickles onto the table. The bartender quickly nodded, running into the back, where glass-breaking sounds could be heard, and came back just as quickly with a large bottle of liquor. They opened it up for the demon and poured it into a fresh glass before leaving it on the table and running into the back again, wanting to hide from the demon.
John and Viado were stunned for a second before erupting with laughter at the scene. John did feel a little bad for them, but they wanted customers, so they got one. Viado's laughter continued for a while before resuming his conversation with his friend. "Haha, oh, oh my. I knew my Death costume was good, but not that good. I didn't even have to give them the whistle to freak them out." John giggled, happy to know his demon friend for the goofball he was. "Yeah. Honestly, you knock it out of the park. Even before I saw you, you also terrified me with the atmosphere. Haha, though, I am happy that it is just you."
John then took a sip from his glass while Viado just downed the whiskey in his cup, pouring himself another glass of it for later. "So, what brought you to visit me anyway. I doubt, considering the theatrics, that this is for a normal chat." Viado then giggled and showed his goofy smile before moving his sickles back onto his robe. "Yeah, you are right. I just wanted to ask you one question." He then shuffled through his pockets before looking intently into them, mumbling to himself where something was. He then seemed to have found it, and with a happy smile, he turned back to his friend and said, in his goofy voice. "Can I get your... autograph?" Viado then set on the table between them a wanted poster with John's face on it. Viado chuckled as he saw his friend's confused face and continued, "I just need you to sign right... there" He tapped his claw with the last three words on the word pudge, giggling as he saw his friend's cheeks redden. John, meanwhile, was surprised at the poster. He was worried if it was posted around town, but considering there were no signs of it being hung, he wondered if Vaido was given the poster by the one who made it. He looked over it and saw that he was wanted just for being "Sweet and Tasty", which made him blush even more. Viado chucked at his friend's reaction, gulping down another glassful of the whiskey, and giggled. "Well then, I see you are taking it better than I thought." He then stood up and stretched before leaning down to his friend and casually but purposefully yawned, showing his human friend his alluring grey maw. John's checks glowed as red as the flames of hell at that point, which made Viado chuckle even more. "So then, are you going to come along willingly? After all, I am a bounty hunter, and I always get my reward." He then licked his lips before showing off his maw again, giving the blushing human friend a choice to either become his meal, or run away for the chase of a lifetime.
A few moments later, the bartender came out from the back again, not hearing much from the bar and assuming they had left. However, he didn't expect the sight he saw, seeing the human's legs sticking out of the demon's maw, which was held vertically as he gave one final gulp, sending the human down to their destination. After the demon sighed, he turned to the bartender and shined a toothy grin before grabbing the rest of the Fireball Whiskey and pouring it straight into his throat. He made sure to gulp down every last drop before giving another sigh and tossing the bottle into the nearby trashcan, happy to have such a refreshing drink. He then pulled out a wad of cash from his pocket, slamming it onto the counter and saying, "Keep the change.", and turning around with his hand on his gut, leaving the bar with only a chuckle. Meanwhile, as pale as ever, the bartender fell over and passed out from the shock, believing he finally saw the one who was eating all his customers.
