When I was living in Hondo, TX, I used to sneak out of the house and go on walks down the rock-gravel road. During a full moon clear night it was so bright you could read a newspaper, and it would reflect off the bleach-grey rocks. The stars.....that is what I miss the most about that part of texas. there were so many stars to see, no street lights to block them.
I sometimes feel the same with people. I bet you get people all the time just acting normally around you, dealing with you, taking your cash in a grocery store, and so on. They don't even really see the wonder of what's right in front of them. Though it's a little more hidden than a visible landscape, it's still weird that they don't even engage with something that can be so wonderful.
