Chester woke up on a rather dreary day.
He noticed wood surrounding him.
He didn't know what happened.
Chester looked around and found a dead Mina and a dead Bunnicula.
Chester couldn't believe it.
His beloved owner and his vampire rabbit friend who helped him and Harold in situations had been killed.
What was he going to do now?
Where was he going to go?
Those questions raced through his mind until he heard a groan.
He recognized that groan.
He then realized something.
Harold!
Did he get killed too?
He went out and searched for him.
He remembered the time that ghost alligator came in the apartments, how he hurt Harold's feelings, the conversation he had with Harold and how he said he's incomplete without him.
Chester looked everywhere but couldn't find Harold.
Finally he gave up.
He sat down on a piece of wood and cried.
He then heard another groan.
He looked beside him and found Harold with a black eye and bruised paws.
"Chester? Harold said in a weak voice. "Is that you?"
"Harold!" Chester said joyfully.
The siamese cat comforted the St. Bernard who was badly injured.
Chester didn't have the heart to tell Harold that Mina and Bunnicula were killed.
So instead he said "Oh Harold. I promise I'm not gonna let anything happen to you, my best friend, old buddy old pal old Chum of mutts."
Chester decided for him and Harold to live at Harold's doghouse.
