Jera and the fish of Arcadia (original species series)
Rivers that flow through the continent of Arcadia are teeming with a variety of fish species. Some grow to massive sizes (as is the usual trend for this particular world) but most are of more modest size.
In this image, Jera the she-devil can be seen swimming with a handful of them:
1) The Algae Bibble is one of the smallest species of fish native to Arcadia. These fish typically swim close to the bottom in more shallow waters, feeding on algae that grow there.
2) The Ornabibble is a close, but much more colorful relative to the Algae Bibble. This species also feeds on algae, but instead of sticking to the bottom, it feeds on the ones that grow closer to the surface, typically on sunken logs or boulders/
3) Phiorini are small, omnivorous fish that feed on both insect larvae and plant matter that floats within the waters of slow-flowing rivers.
4) The Arbabi Catfish are the only truly predatory fish species in this assembly. They are the natural enemy of both Bibble species.
5) The Toarappi are the largest species depicted here. Much like the Phiorini, they are omnivorous and will feed on anything small enough to fit in their jaws, be it plant or animal.
Due to their size and feeding habits, all of the fish presented here are completely harmless to people. Both Bibble species are even popular among fish tank owners due to their diet and efficiency at preventing algal blooms.
